Books of the Month (June)
Since that dang sidebar doesn't allow links, here they are:

Marcel Reich-Ranicki: The Author of Himself
Bernard Cornwell: Warlord Trilogy

One of these days I'll write a bit about the books.

Please do so - I would love to hear what you think about the Warlord Trilogy, my dear Aulus Poliutos.

It's an LJ. It doesn't have to be a perfect essay! Let's hear your thoughts.

I'd also like to hear what you thought of the Warlord books.
I really enjoyed the first one when I read it, but because of various life situations (the books live 1700 miles away at my parents' house) I have never gotten around to finishing the others.
I don't remember enough of the plot to pick it up, I'd have to start over now.

But I remember thinking, "Yay, gritty vaguely historical Arthur!"

I really loved his Stonehenge and of course, my whole family is addicted to Sharpe.

:)

The Warlord Trilogy....GUH....my favorite books on the legends of Arthur! I am half way through Excalibur right now...and have a hard time putting the book down. I look forward to your review as well dear. I think Bernard Cornwell has done a fantastic job writing the battle scenes. Quite detailed and he as put me in that shield wall with Derfel and the rest of the warriors.

Yep, when I've finished the book. And I don't take it up until I can be sure to have the time to read some, else I won't get any research done. It's non-fiction books right now. :)
